During a period of closure due to Covid-19 restrictions, we have given consideration as to how we can keep our guests safe upon re-opening. Our intention is to do so in a way that has minimal impact on your experience at Hubbard’s Luxury Bed & Breakfast.
With this in mind, please see below some of the changes that we will be implementing for the remainder of 2020.
We will continue to review and make necessary amendments as we navigate our way through the re-opening phase.
Once we re-open, we will only be taking bookings for Sycamore and Oak. During this time, our Beech room will be converted into an exclusive lounge/breakfast room for guests staying in the adjacent Oak room. The garden area opposite will also be for the exclusive use of guests staying in Oak (please note this area is not fenced). Sycamore already benefits from a private lounge/diner and garden.
Room Service and Cleaning
We will no longer provide daily room cleans however guests will be able to order additional amenities and provisions as required. Both rooms enjoy the benefit of a fridge and microwave. When clients have departed (updated departure time of 10.30 am), we will then carry out a deep clean of the room. Due to how long this will take, a new guaranteed arrival time of 4.00 pm will operate although we will of course try and accommodate an earlier arrival if possible.
Breakfast will no longer be served in our dining room.
Both rooms now benefit from a dedicated private dining room where we will deliver a continental breakfast together with a cooked option (to be ordered the night before).
A minimum stay of 2 nights will apply for the remainder of 2020, however 2 night stays will attract a £25 surcharge to cover the cost of a deep clean and suitable PPE for our cleaning staff. Stays of 3 nights or more will not attract any surcharge.
To cover additional cleaning costs as part of a deep clean, dogs will no longer be charged per night but will be charged as follows:
1 dog £20 per stay
2 + dogs £30 per stay
Bookings are subject to our normal cancellation conditions, however if a customer is unwell and concerned that they may be infected with Covid 19 or have been in contact with someone with symptoms, we will accept cancellations up to the day before arrival at no charge.
Guests should note that all bookings are subject to government led instructions and may have to be cancelled at very short notice if required.
As per our standard booking conditions, we will take card details to secure your booking. To reduce face to face contact your card details to secure your booking. To reduce face to face contact your card will be charged manually when you arrive and a receipt will be delivered to your room.
